Three Victorian pieces circa 1880-1900: a pierced brass with cut steel star button; a small cut steel star button; and a gorgeous buckle half made with an ocean pearl crescent moon and five cut steel stars. Cut steel refers to small bits of faceted steel that were hand-riveted into a brass button base, a process that was used in button and jewelry making from the late 18th to the late 19th centuries.
