Marcail is the Gaelic word for pearl. We chose the vintage glass pearls for this necklace design because they reminded us of the treasured string of baroque pearls that Ellen, Jamie Fraser’s mother, gave to him in the series Outlander. We adored how Jamie’s pearls travelled through time to his twentieth century daughter.
This necklace also features a trio of small thistle buttons that celebrate the Scottish national flower in a lovely nineteenth century style.
The buttons, like Jamie’s pearls, have survived through the centuries and we think this limited edition necklace will endure the ages as you pass it down through generations of your family.
As this piece is a limited edition, you’ll receive the exact buttons you see in the image (while they last).
