A Scottish Highlander in full dress is dazzling. Jamie’s wedding attire in our favorite series, Outlander, made us weak in the knees.
In this piece we feature a traditional silver thistle button, that was commonly worn on Highlanders’ dress jackets, which in the twentieth century came to be referred to as a “Prince Charlie jacket.“ We chose to pair it with two heather-toned ocean pearl buttons set with cut steel.
This adjustable necklace can be worn as a choker, as a long pendant, or doubled up and secured in front.
As this piece is a limited edition, you’ll receive the exact buttons you see in the image (while they last).
In this piece:
- Vintage silver diamond-shaped thistle button, circa the early twentieth century
- Medium and small ocean pearl buttons, both hand-dyed a heather color and set with cut steel, circa 1880-90
- Dark freshwater pearl with brass filigree bead cap
- Antiqued brass chain adjusts via a sliding magnetic clasp from a 15″ choker to 32″ long pendant
