CHARMSAKES QUESTIONS & INSTRUCTIONS:
What type of photo(s) should I use?

• Photos that you and/or the recipient cherish; that elicit an emotional response in you.
• Crisp, clear photos with a lot of contrast and with a plain background. Simply put, the better the quality of the picture you send us, the better the quality of your charm will be.
• Photos no smaller than 2x3 inches or larger than 8x10 inches.
• You can send color photos; we will digitally convert them to black and white.

How do I get my photo(s) to you?
Basically, you can email them to us or you can send them through the U.S. mail or a carrier service such as UPS or FedEx. See to the left for a full explanation of how to send them in.

How will my photo be cropped?
Unless otherwise instructed in the Comments section of our order form, our artists usually crop each photo to focus on just the face of the subject.

Can you make changes in my photo, such as remove a background or put two people closer together so that they both will fit on one charm? Is there an extra charge for that?
Yes, we are happy to do cosmetic editing on your photo. Our current charge is $20 per photo to remove a background or place people closer together. Please specify the type of editing needed on the order form comment section and indicate which photographs are to be edited.

Will I get my photos back?
Yes, we will send your original photos back with your bracelet, unchanged.

How long will it take to receive my Charmsakes?
It usually takes us five working days from receipt of your photos to shipping your jewelry, and then two to six days for you to receive it through the carrier.

Can the back of my charms be engraved?
Absolutely. We currently don't offer an engraving service, but the flat, polished silver backs of the charms are perfect to take to your local engraver.

Can I use a portrait done by a professional photographer?
Portraits bearing the stamp of a professional photographer cannot be used unless a "release of copyright" form is sent along with the order.

How do I take care of my Charmsakes?
Care for this bracelet as you would any other fine piece of sterling jewelry. We recommend using a polishing cloth, available from most jewelry stores or even large discounters that sell jewelry. The porcelain portrait pieces are fired rock-hard and are impervious to water.

Can my bracelet be gift wrapped?
All Charmsakes bracelets are shipped in their own satin drawstring gift bag. We also offer custom gift wrapping for $5 per package.

Can I return my Charmsakes bracelet?
Because all Charmsakes work is custom-made, we cannot accept returns. In the unlikely event that your bracelet arrives broken or in bad condition, we will of course repair it.

If my wrist is smaller (or larger) than 7 5/8 inches, can I order a different length bracelet?
Yes, just indicate in the comments section what length you would like your bracelet to be and we will match it as closely as we can.
